Great Value - The R28 RTS LI Roller Blind Kit
Have you ever wanted to make your own electric roller blind?
Actually, the process is very easy.
In order to make an electric roller blind or shade, you need to find all parts for it.
After you have equipped yourself with the right parts, you need to know how to assemble the parts into an electric roller blind.
In this article, we explain how to do this, step by step.
It would be recommended to find all the parts from one manufacturer.
By using this approach, you will be sure that all the parts are compatible and work well together.
The R28 RTS LI kit has everything you need to have to make your own electric roller blind/roller shade.
The kit has a fixed length so the max size of the screen fabric is five square meters.
What is available in the kit:
The Somfy R28 RTS LI-on motor - It is a very practical motor since it has an integrated battery. Therefore, you don't need to have an external battery pack or transformer. The only things required are this motor and a charger. That's it!
The tube - Fixing a fabric is very easy with this tube. The only thing you need to do is to peel off the strip and attach the fabric to the double-sided tape.
The brackets and all small parts (the end part, the crown, and the drive).
What's not available in the kit:
Fabric - You can use your old blind fabric or you can purchase a new one.
Remote control - It is not included in this package but basically every RTS remote control will work perfectly with this kit.
Charger - You will need a basic charger that you connect to the motor via cable. It costs only 99.99€.
Assembling the parts into an electric roller blind:
1. Push the end part to the non-motor side of the tube
2. Take the crown and place it on the motor (push it to the end of the motor)
3. Place the drive on the other side of the motor
4. Place the brackets to both sides of the motor
The price of the R28 RTS LI kit is 129€ for a one-meter kit. If you decide to buy more, you will get a discount.
There is a five-year warranty on the motor and a two-year warranty on the battery.
